Mr. Samuel McNabb will receive Annual Fatherhood Award
The National Fatherhood Initiative To Honor Great Dads At 2008 Fatherhood Award Gala. Mr. Samuel McNabb has been selected along with several other distinguished men throughout the country to receive the “Annual Fatherhood Award for his great work in founding and presiding over the National Football Players Fathers Association.

Ronald C. Warren, president of NFI, said, “This year’s winners have demonstrated a devotion to fatherhood that is transforming the way our nation views the roles of fathers in children’s lives”.

New Website For “Boys To Men Mentoring Program”

In order to address the issues and concerns of our youth and collegiate student athletes we have now created an Internet presence to allow our dads who will become active in our new online mentoring program a vehicle to teach, guide and instruct our youth in need . Through interviews, workshops and seminars we will have an opportunity to share valuable information and provide a wealth of wisdom, knowledge and understanding directly on the website.

2009 Super Bowl Notes – Tampa Florida

This coming football season will culminate in Tampa, Florida and as always we are anticipating hosting an event during that week. Unlike the past years we are expecting a great turnout of dads to support or event(s). This past Super Bowl Living Legend Awards Banquet in Arizona was a great success. NFPFA Year in Review

2007 was a very impacting year for this association to transcend from an organization trying to find its identity to one that eloquently put itself on the map. When the year first started we were filling the effects of soliciting dads to get involved in helping to make this a viable entity after many years of structuring and building up both our principle and purpose for the National Football Players Fathers Association.

After the first quarter of the year we introduced a new partnership with the Virginia Ballet Theatre and program “Athletes for Kids” with the help and support of its director Mr. Frank Bove. We saw this program break ground in the inner cities of Norfolk Virginia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Chicago, Illinois. This could not have been done without the help and participation of two beautiful and wonderfully gifted professional dancers Mrs. Lydia Roberts Coco, Mr. Duncan Cooper and the NFL Virginia Players like William Fuller Retired NFL player, Aaron Rouse Green Bay Packers, Antoine Bethea Indianapolis Colts, and Jamin Elliot Atlanta Falcons.
