Happy New Year

By LaTonya P. Story
It's a new day, new year and beginning of a new decade. How quickly time passes. 2009 was full of highs and lows. We celebrated victories, cried in defeat and mourned the loss of great people in sports and personally in our lives. But through it all, we overcame. We are stronger than before, wiser with each passing day, energized, and renewed in the belief of brighter days ahead.

Let's not set ourselves up for failure with empty and hollow promises of resolutions, but instead, make a conscious effort to live each day one day at a time. Treat people with respect. Love our families and loved ones. Respect our teammates, co-workers and associates. Forgive our enemies. Speak positivity, prosperity, abundance and health to our lives daily. If we do this, we will not look back several months from now disappointed in what we didn't accomplish, but fulfilled with what we did accomplish.

Happy New Year!...
